The Book of Revelation was written around A.D. 95 by John when he was a prisoner on the Isle of Patmos.  

In Revelation 1:3 he wrote, “Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and heed the things which are written in it; for the time is near” (1:3).

This Book has frightened many and intrigued others.  

I, personally, like this book because it gives hope and encouragement to all believers.  It, also, inspires us to continue to watch for the return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and warns nonbelievers of the Final Judgement.
